vengeance..!!

To satiate my thirst,
I singled out the chalice,
The best, in size and shape.
Just as I was complete,
It slipped right out breaking into tiny crystal shards,
Spread across, cutting me right through as I screamed in pain.
I gazed at the wound,
Slowly making way for the bright scarlet wine.
Oozing out it gleamed in the shine of dusk,
Laughing out as if mocking me,
For being so discriminating.
Writhing in pain, struggling to make it stop,
It hits me.
Ahh..!! vengeance..!!
