TWITTER..brand new NEWS channel..??!!

I attended a seminar a few days ago. And thats where i met Mr. Krishna Prasad, the editor of Outlook. The things he said did'nt just seem like words, i mean, how can something be so true. The Indian media today follows everything happening on twitter than what is happening in the army camps. It made me wonder, have the social networking sites become the new NEWS channel?? Has twitter become the source of information. Well, considering whats been happening lately the answer is a definite YES..the tweets posted on twitter have become the headlines of various news channels. With all this happening, can we blame Mr. Ram Gopal Varma for directing RANN??
Mr. KP doesnt agree with me when i say that RANN is a brilliant movie because half actually almost everything which was shown in the movie was true. but then look again and temme what u feel..!!
P.S: Increasing popularity of twitter made me wanna be a member too..i signed in..GO FIGURE..!!
